The library ensures that students who live, work, and attend classes away from the campuses in Gainesville have access to the library resources and services that are available to on-campus students.
Our LibGuides provide the perfect starting point for your research. Developed in collaboration with your professors, these online subject guides link you to the best resources to search for high-quality, reliable information to include in your papers and projects. Our extensive collection of LibGuides supports students in the Colleges of Business and Mass Communication, Health and Science, Education, and Fine Arts and Humanities. We also have LibGuides covering general topics, such as Writing for an A.
You can also link directly to thousands of full-text articles, e-books, statistics, and other reliable information from your home using our online catalog, which is a listing of the books, journals, articles, and other materials owned by the library.
Librarians can provide help and information over the phone or via video conference, such as giving advice on effective research strategies, search terms, resources, titles of works, and databases that might be helpful in your research. Reserve a time to consult with a librarian at your convenience. We are available during the day and after work at night.
Individual or group instruction is available to faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students from each campus or online anytime the Library is open. Instruction is customized to meet your immediate information need, usually based on an assignment. The instruction may help you to focus your information need, evaluate reliable and credible sources and information, find articles and information on your topic, use the information to complete a project, or address plagiarism concerns by using APA or MLA effectively.
