Try to include as much of the following as you can: authors (often unavailable), title of specific web page (if cited); title of overall website; owner or sponsor of website (if present); and publication date, last revised date, or access date.

  • Website titles are not italicized.
  • Begin with the title of the web page for the footnote, but begin with the owner/sponsor or overall website in the bibliography.
  • If the website no longer exists, include "site discontinued," or, a link to an archived version, such as from the Wayback Machine.
